IPL and India’s Unity

A larger-than-life and vivid inaugural ceremony signalled the start of the lucrative DLF Indian Premier League… When the match actually started, it was a one-of-its-kind experience to see all those great players belonging to a different country playing as a team!!

It was a gripping moment when the Kolkata Knight Riders were all set for the duel with Banglaore Royal Challengers. The fun part is all good, but does IPL divide India into groups?!! I couldn’t really decide whether I should support Kolkata or Bangalore. They all belong to our country.

When there is the match between India and Australia, everyone unanimously supports India; but isn’t IPl splitting India into various groups who support different teams. the video below shows how..

Wouldn’t it have been better if the team name would have been like “Knight Riders” instead of “Kolkata Knight Riders” or “Royal challengers” in place of “Bangalore Royal challengers“. That would give the opportunity to support a team based on their performance or the players rather than places!!

God save India from this over hyped stuff.

An awesome match, specially the last few overs..

Last over required 13 runs, not that easy; but the SIX in the 2nd ball turned the match more exciting… 6 runs from 4 balls now!!

It’s huge pressure both the sides, Joginder Sharma to Misbah-ul-Haq, OUT, India! It’s all over here! Full and on the stumps.

What a great match!! Can’t ask for more from a grand final. It made everyone’s day out here!!

Yuvraj blasts his way into history

Hurray!! Yuvraj Singh’s savage assault on Stuart Broad made him the first batsman to hit six sixes in an over in Twenty20 internationals and the fourth in senior cricket. Garry Sobers and Ravi Shastri did it in first-class matches, Herschelle Gibbs in the World Cup and now Yuvraj.
