I Am into Sales Business

Lately I got chance to think about what do I really do. At the very first thought, it appeared that I take care of technical part of the enterprises so that they can concentrate on their business;  the second look gave a whole new dimension to the way we think about work. Is work all we do or is there a higher purpose or business we mind?

For sure we do!  This might sound crazy but I did realize that the work I do is different from the business I am into, which is the business of selling. I sell my ideas and eventually myself (so far so good) .

Aren’t we all salespeople? don’t we sell ourselves day in and day out?

• The kid who is trying to convince his mother to let him watch TV for an extra hour is selling.
• The teenager who wants his Dad’s Car for Prom Night is selling.
• Anyone who has ever asked the boss for a raise is selling.

No matter who we are, what we do and where in the world we belong to, we are busy selling! Though we may not realize, all of us are into some greater business than the normal day job we do. I now understand what Ray Kroc meant when he said, “We’re not in the hamburger business, We’re in show business.”
